It's called a guilty pleasure Just about everybody has them.

Mine last year was this local band that I got into. I'm not going to talk about what genre they were from because it's embarrassing :$

though in my defense, it's almost completely bands I used to like... for example B4MV and A7X were two of the ones that helped me transition into more 'true' metal

AFI was the band that kind of got me into metal when I was 13. But, I was young.

the album city of evil is a good album. if that album was released by guns n'roses in the beginning of the 90's, everyone would love the album and it eventually could turn out into a major rock/metal hit. but it was released by avenged sevenfold in the new century, many years after, by a band of punk kids that like hardcore and some metal. doesn't have the same impact because of the image which pretty much sucks, because city of evil has lots of things of 80's metal and some iron maiden inspiration in those solos. i've seen the guys live opening for iron maiden in portugal and they've impressed me. good band live. but i just like city of evil. the rest of the albuns.. for me... pure producer shit.

yea I have that album... some good songs on it but besides that not very impressive imo.
