well look at it this way... do you want to see a dentist or a surgeon after it gets a lot worse?
I don't like dentists either... but my wisdom teeth used to hurt just a bit like once or twice a month, and they had me get all 4 out...
it's nothing really, at least for me it wasn't... some people are worse off... but if you get the anathesia, you go under within like a minute, and when you wake up, it's done with. and I'm like really afraid of needles...
long story short, you can do it.
