yea, that's a real difference to here... my parents would have never done that. We only got ourselves something from the imbiss like once every two months. McDonald's was only allowed for a birthday or something but not many people did that. I grew up like that, therefore fast food always was something really special to me, nothing that you do like whenever... and the imbisses over here are still way higher quality than fast food chains...

Why is it that some people will listen to black metal purely because it is black metal. Like I was talking to this guy I carpool to concerts with (I won't call him a friend) and I mentioned the newer Ulver stuff, which is extremely far from black metal in sound, and he's like, that's absolute shit, it's all about the first 2 or 3 albums..

Dude, the first few ulver albums are total shit. I completely understand when the sort of common under-produced sound that many bands had in the early 90's adds to the flavor of the music...but Nattens Madrigal is a total shit album! The songs are boring and the production is the worst I've ever heard...but he likes it because it is true black metal.

But I understand where he's coming from, and I have nothing against those who really want to 'be black metal'. It's just that when he criticizes me for listening to the Shadows of the Sun album because it is so different, i just want to slap him. Good music is good music, no matter what genre...
