yes but in a thing he is totally wrong, wacken organizers never said that ac/dc would be booked.. so i dont understand why he is complaining about the tribute band..

a lot of people like "minor" metal bands that would kill to play wacken and would fit right in. Instead they can rock out to cover songs.... great...

i know it is not my preferred kind of bands too.. but i mean if there were 10-15 tribute bands it would be too much.. but just for a band, i think that you (and me) could drink a beer with a friend, listen to another band, take a look to wackinger or to the market, have a nap, eat an hot-dog

the most important thing should be confirming at least another top-act..

and I think it's a bit poor myself. People that want to listen to AC/DC songs would probably die for seeing the real AC/DC. Don't see why you should listen to the songs by a coverband. It's just wrong somehow

Only thing I could respect a coverband is if they make a totally new style out of it. But since they're still playing at a metalfestival I guess they'll just play it the same

I'd normally agree, but recently happened to see The Australian Pink Floyd and they were fucking great. But then, there's no way of ever really seeing pink floyd live anymore....

Pink floyd would have been miles better I assume, I probably would have soiled myself.

I can understand it anyways. Though the coverband might have some great talent too. But possibly only in playing and not composing... dunno
