the dutch course told me:

e.g. "goed" like:

in connection with "zijn" it's without "e" (ik ben goed)
in connection with "een" it's without "e" (een goed hond) didn't understand that one though

without article it's with "e" (goede hond)
in sentence without "een" or "zijn" it's with "e" (de goede hond...)

Hond is a bad example here.

In connection with "een": An "e" is required after the adjectiv if the word is male/female in almost ANY circonstances! (e.g. een goede hond, een goed huis)
In connection with "de/het": An "e" is required in (almost) any word, regardless being male/female/neutral.
