Very true, those kids are about image, and trying to be cool, not really about the music, they wear music like fashion, not a true passion.

Me for example, I don't have that much an idea of all the bands and such, but I am into the passion and the atmosphere of metal. The ideas how to behave towards everyone and how to be a family within the scene. Not into posing and being so 'true' and (yes, that's what they think) 'hardcore'... and I'm fairly afraid since they are the big masses, that they are going to change the image of metal

because it's the new trend...
metal's entering the mainstream again, like 80s glam metal, and sooo the festivals are starting to see that.

wacken is being commercialised (dunno how to put it) in 2005 I bought a blackstage girly on saturday, in 2008 they where sold out before the festival began

in 2005 you had 5 different shirt designs, black stage, true stage, night to remember, both stages and general wacken (no year or bands)

now you have in entire catalog filled with wacken merch

Well, I don't feel like discussing anymore. It feels like talking to my mum... 'you are taking your music to serious, you're so childish...blabla'

Well the sad part is that is where the money is and the promoters want to sell lots of tickets and merchandise, and the young crowd typicaly spends more money on that. So to keep the young crowd (money) flowing, the promoters bring what's popular, and that';s what is happening now. If you look back a way at the billing, there was much more Power Metal, but now that it's not so popular, there's much less. It's all about the money, that's the sad part.

No don't feel that way, I think we all see it the same way, I think we all agree for the most part. You are making very good points.
