and I might not need it, but it would be helpful

Ihnen is a form of [Sie]
[Sie] is a very polite form of [du]


you would use [Sie] when talking to elderly people, people in a high function or teachers for instance

Ihnen (always with CAPITAL I) means you in the polite form. Very formal so to speak, for someone you don't know.

Wie geht es Ihnen? = How are you (madam)?
Wie geht es euch? = How are you (all)?
Wie geht es dir? = How are you (Kris)?
Wie geht es ihnen = How are they?

well yea, obviously not
but the main places I'd consider are Norway, and then Germany
and I know they don't really speak German in Norway either, but I still want to learn it anyway
...and then Norwegian.
