I think I still do not get the colors thing

I thought they would be turning green now

in my last the hex was #00013e the first two belong to red, the next two to green and the last two to blue:

00 01 3e
and adding 1 here is the same as adding one to decimal numbers:
(dec)
2 = 1 + 1
3 = 2 + 1
...
9 = 8 + 1
10 = 9 + 1

in hex it is the same... but this system knows 16 numbers (0-9a-f)
2 = 1 + 1
...
9 = 8 + 1
a = 9 + 1
b = a + 1
...
f = e + 1
10 = f + 1

and as i reached blue (= 00 00 ff in hex) i added one resulting in 00 01 00 (like 99+1 is 100 in dec)
and before the 1 will change to a 2 the last two digits have to get to ff (hex) or 99 (dec). in colors this means making it blue
