Woohoo! The sun's out. Looks like winter's finally bloody over. About time too, spring is a month late.
We're doing the Grand Final again as it was a draw last week. We don't do this extra time thing. They have to harden up and do it all again the next week.
Was hilarious watching players who have given it their all in the last game of the season almost killing themselves trying to win it in the last few minutes realise they're going to have to do it all again in a week. They all basically collapsed at the final siren. The looks on everyone's faces were priceless.
there must be a shitload of money in this. Two matches sold out over 100,000 at each. Plus all the hotel rooms and flights for people travelling. Every pub in the city will love it - it's usually their biggest day of the year. The TV network will be having another huge day too.
Grand Final weekend has become thrash weekend lately. Testament was GF eve in 08, Overkill was GF eve last week. And by pure coincidence we now have Exodus the day after the GF replay this week. Grand Final and thrash metal is not good for the liver.
Can't wait for Exodus. Got the new album on now. If they're half as good as Overkill were last week this will be bloody awesome.
Flying up to Brisbane on Monday for a second dose of Exodus. One wouldn't be enough. Was watching their Wacken 08 DVD yesterday. Can't expect the shows to be as epic as that one but that reminded me how much fun they are live.
