it's not because of vision problems in my case... it's really because the ideia of driving and having my life in my hands, with all the operations you have to do to drive a car, is not as easy as a motorbike. it's safer... but it's dangerous too and not so managable in my opinion. i know i should lose this fear, but i just can't...

And I have to put my life in someone else's hand with just the same things!
Besides, I'm one of those passengers that "drives with you" as well. (looking at the road, speed limit etc.)

I'm not at ease in a car. Never have been. Though never had a car accident in my life (yet).

And it makes me dependant on others of course. Something I dislike anyways. (I avoid it if I have to)
Thank goodness public transport here is well taken care of. (as well in the Netherlands and the parts in DE I've been so far.)

yeah sometimes public transports could lead you there, sometimes don't... but putting my life in others hands it leads to the same thing... but i'm not a fan of driving anyway... i prefer to do it on the computer... it's more safe

Don't know it yet...but I guess I'm not going to visit it. I want to visit 5 festivals next year and I wanna visit Laila in Dubai...it's too expensive for me. I guess, I can't go to Laila and visit all the festivals...

But there's a difference to take train/bus/etc and being able to leave (more or less) when you want to, then going with someone with his/her car, and going whenever (s)he wants to.
And, as stated before, I'm not at ease (read: scared) in a car. Point. Too many fools on the road, and one fool is enough to cause (serious) damage.
If I take my bike, it's on roads I know, and still, not the busy roads. I"ll avoid them if possible.
