Thanks!! From all the above, which one do you recommend? All this input helps me a lot, since I don't really have Dutch friends in Eindhoven, I'm really lost.

To be honest I haven't really started looking yet, since I'm not 100% sure if I will work or not in Delft (they are supposed to let me know next week, fingers crossed).

Wateringen is the "Westland". (Google.es helps here )
Berkel en Roderijs is between Rotterdam and Voorburg/Den Haag/Leidschendam. Also Pijnacker as well.
Gouda is nice. Nice old city, bit like Utrecht but smaller.
Woerden is boring (from my experience 20yrs ago), though close to Utrecht (which is nice)
And I find Rotterdam to be intolerant in a sense. But that's maybe just a perception.

And Best = Best But you should check that out yourself (it's only 10min by train, and by bus (144 or 145) about 20-30min.)
