The atmosphere is always great! And this year's line-up kicks ass as well

The only bad thing is that there are so many people, so it's almost impossible to get to the front at shows. But the campsite partying makes up for that

Though, in 12(!) years, Wacken has changed too.
From a relatively big to the WORLD'S BIGGEST HEAVY METAL FEST.

I remember partying with a bunch from Braunschweig in 97 and the FC's from 2005. Big difference though.

Ofcourse.. everything changes. Some things become better and some things become worse. But as long as I feel that Wacken is a great party, I'll just keep going there every year

Im going to make wacken an yearly arrangement along with Norway Rock Festival. Going to be a student for the next 3 years and along with that comes 2months summer vacation! Its nice to be a "grown up" and student! hehe

From what I can see, WoA has changed quite a bit just from 2007 till 2010

with the villages and that stuff, livebands in metalmarket etc

True.. I was there in 2007 and it was different. It's even bigger now.

Well.. I think 2008 was the worst, if it's about how crowded the festival area was.

I only remember that in 2006 we've been sitting on the ground half way down the festival area because it was really nicely empty. Last year I could hardly pass by the beergarden! It's pretty much terrible. If it wasn't for you guys, I'd chuck it

Not worth it for me anymore, I'm getting afraid of the campingside. Rather gonna see some smaller festivals with better atmosphere

Same. If Chris didn't say he'd go in 10 (this year) I wouldn't probably have gone in the first place. But promises keep! So I'll be there for the LAST time. (though I'll miss some of it, including the people I hang out with )

Me too. Dong was/is a good example. Now I want to do smaller ones. More overview and thus easier for someone like me.

True.
Everything evolves. Nothing new to that. But nevertheless some things shouldn't have changed.
Though, it's all in someone's perspective of course. And everyone is different. (thank goodness for that! )
