german is not more complicated. it is just more old fashion. we have stopped using "fallen" a long time ago

and dutch grammar is hard to learn for a foreigner coz our grammar rules do not really make sense. instead of die, der and das we have de and het
but there is no rule for why something is de or het. it just is...

Since you have to know all the Kasus in german, which ain't used in dutch, it is more complicated. And there is no rules for der/die/das either, so it's at least as complicated as de/het or even more, because you have one more.

Since you have to know all the Kasus in german, which ain't used in dutch, it is more complicated. And there is no rules for der/die/das either, so it's at least as complicated as de/het or even more, because you have one more.

Kasus were (are in some expressions) still used in Dutch. (@LW, de Commissaris der Koningin, de Procureur des Konings (hier), 's morgens, 's middags, 's avonds, 's nachts.) (Versteende uitdrukkingen)
