Well I had perfect vision until then, around 1.5 years ago. I still have great distance vision, just not for reading. My daughter is 12 and has needed glasses for a few years now. She gets that from her mom.

Don't think that way. Anything is possible with the will and determination. It is a very realistic goal. But it will take planning and some work. But it will be so worthy it. Just don't procrastinate on it. Set goals, like the passport first and take care of one obstacle at a time.
