Here women are somewhat better protected in the work force, the labor laws make it tougher to terminate a woman, especially in a male dominated job situation, it can be seen as discrimination. The same goes for the elderly and minorities in a predominatly white job setting.

True, but I talk in career point of view.

For starters "we" can never get pregnant, therefore "we"'re more "stable" employees than women, who have to go take a free period fo several MONTHS (depending on the country). Then "they" are most likely to stay home/work 4/5 time (here) so another replacement must be found, etc.

And salary yeah. Men earn more than women for the same job. Still is, even if it is forbidden by law here.

There are naturally male dominated professions.. Eg labourers, builders, painter, tilers, roofers, etc

my sister is a Lawyer, and a very strong independant woman.. she receives the male equivalent wage, if not surpass it
