Well, according to what I heard in all those zoo magazines...it's only allowed to feed vertebrates if they are already dead.
But I am sure that not everybody is sticking to that rule.

yes, you're right. But since my snake has gotten some bigger now, it might be able to swallow a grown mouse by now. At least a "Tanzmaus" or "Zwergmaus"

Btw. It's just forbidden to sell them (without mother), not to feed them. The problem is that, if the snake refuses the mouse, it'll have to die of starvation, which is considered torture of animals. If the snake'd eat it, it would be perfectly fine
