The Wacken Hot Tub (General Chat)

Although we can't buy alcohol at most gigs here. Beer in very few and hard drinks in exactly 2 concerts till date.

I like DT and Iced Earth, of course. :D And either ways, living in a 3rd world country where there is very little choice, I go to just about every festival that happens nearby. I attended gigs of bands like Lamb of God (which I don't like) and Wolf (that I know nothing about) in the past year.

Nope. It was a student's dorm which did not allow aircons (to save electricity expense). We had to do with desert coolers (which most of you wouldn't even have seen). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaporative_cooler They are quite okay in places which are very dry and very hot. Good for an...

On the flipside, us Indians have a hard time coping with the cold. Anything below 20 C and the sweaters and winter jackets start piling up. I'm one of the exceptional few who can't stand the heat and like the cold (although i've never even experienced temperature under 0 C )

I spent 1 year in a place where the maximum summer temperature was 52 C. I have no idea how I survived.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, folks. :D Of course, I did. This year and the last. Wouldn't make sense to miss it, considering I live in the city.

    I need Wacken 2014 friends!

Money isn't the issue, as such... just that I'm a bit reluctant to plan it this early in advance. I don't know if I'd end up camping with my Swedish friends who are driving down.

    I need Wacken 2014 friends!

Just checked out ready-to-rock's website. It doesn't give me any indications of being sold out and I can go right upto the payment page. So, do I book now or wait for a while? This is so much better than carrying the equipment and then setting up camp myself. Seems to be a change in trend...
