    This year it felt like "the pain vs the gain" wasn't that much in favour of "gain". For a big part that was due to the ridiculously high temperatures and scorching sun. But I also feel that after 13 wackens I just don't really care that much any more. This year I didn't meet any forum members...

    the reality is, toilets will always be dirty, but they are a whole lot better than they used to be when I first came to wacken. If you don't like it, either prepare yourself better and bring your own cleaning stuff, accept it, or just don't come. And I mean to say that in the most polite way...

    we were closer to the exit, and a bit earlier, so instead of taking 5 hours to get of the campgrounds it took us just about 5 minutes this time. and since it was early there weren't any traffic jams on the autobahn.

    got home quite early, arrived around noon, while last year I arrived at 8pm. only packed my stuff about an hour earlier than last year.
