I work with feeling for the language. If a sentence sounds right, it is right.
Well, I've translated Cicero too. Not very often, but a couple of times. And I know his habits. The way I worked through: What seems to belong together stays together, afterwards translating every single word into German and trying to shuffle a suitable sentence out of it

I'm looking forward to the day I've enough money to travel to the US again. Or to GB. Maybe it would be interesting to earn a little money there, or even study one semester there. But that's a little far away at the moment...

Common misstake. I got a 2 in translating while knowing nothing about grammar. I don't know any English grammar too, and got my CAE (and my profile is not bad at all...).

I thought translating was most fun in the whole subject. I mean - hey - better than learning grammar and such stuff you'll never need
No one can be all the time, that's true. Not everyone has to be - because if everyone is a white knight there's no need for them any longer. And I'm with you when saying only someone who's able to hate can measure love. It's a yin and yan thing. Sometimes you have to be cruel to reach the goal, but always remember that not even the most honourable goal legalizes every dark path.
It's getting late - my English gets worse with every single sentence... Gn8!
