Eurail Pass? German Rail Pass? - Info please !

Hi, I have a quick question for you guys who know anything about how the German train system works.

Me and my other 3 friends are planning a 16 days trip to Germany (Wacken & Party San) and Holland (you know what's there ) and we've been trying to figure out what's the cheapest and easiest price offer to get around germany and eventually to Holland by train.

I've stumbled across these offers for non-europeans :

I jsut can't understand what's going on there. so if someone could clearify this matter, I'd be glad

I presume you're NON-EUROPEAN, otherwhise Eurail is out of the question, and you should use INTERRAIL instead.

German RailPass (GRP) is only valid in Germany, either for 1 or 2 persons (GRP or GRP-Twin) without any supplement on whatever train, and covers all of Germany AND Salzburg (A) and Basel (CH)

Eurail/Interrail is a pass which allows you to travel free as well, but for more than one coutry, eg. Germany (all) and the Netherlands (all), but you pay supplements on German IC and ICE trains. (depends on the distance yuo're travelling)

That's about it.

I couldnt figure it out from the site...

For example, I wanna rake a train from Itzehoe to Berlin.
Do you have an idea about how much i'll have to add ?

No, unfortunately not.
I'd say, ask your local Eurail-agent, or once in Germany, the station.
Normally the supplement is counted in the ticket proce.

While we're sort of on the topic...anyone used a Scanrail pass before? How did that go for you?

But just to make sure, buying this pass from eurail.com means I can use it on German and NL trains without having to buy anything else while i'm in the train station, true ?

Yep. Or maybe with the exeption of the supplement in GERMAN IC(E) trains.
