You could lose your cash as well as the cashless payment card tho

yeah I think the chance of loosing it isn't really the issue here.
Also because they stated that you can transfer the money to a new card if you lose it.

The thing is for me paying with cash hasn't been a problem at all. It's been pretty fast everytime so I don't see a need for me to use the card.

I just don't like to carry money with me. I wanna pay with my debit card.

Yeah true, I would only ever have a little bit of cash on me though so it wouldn't be a big deal if I lost it.

With this I assume the idea is to put enough money on the card to last you the whole festival.

That depends! If you want to charge it with €20 a day, you're free to do so! (but for non €uro users, there's the fee and the exchange rate at every recharge of course )
But you can also charge it with €200 once! (and drink it in one day! )
