Die Death Metal Legende OBITUARY hat den VÖ-Termin für ihr neues Album Ten Thousand Ways To Die bekannt gegeben, das Album erscheint am 21.Oktober 2016.
Death metal legends OBITUARY have announced Ten Thousand Ways To Die, a special two-song single containing a pair of brand new studio tracks plus a bonus live set of twelve classics and fan favorites from the band's storied catalog. Recorded in eleven different cities during the band's highly successful 2015 Inked In Blood world tour, the live tracks capture the incredible performances of a band that has stood atop the death metal pantheon for almost 30 years. Ten Thousand Ways To Die is sure to satisfy new and die-hard OBITUARY fans and will quench the bloodthirst of listeners until the band's new album drops in Spring 2017.
Additionally, the band has announced a Fall European Tour, The Battle of the Bays, with support from Exodus, Prong and King Parrot.
The band commented on the live album saying: "We are very excited about the live songs that we recorded on this last US Tour. Joe Cincotta from Full Force Studio is also our live sound engineer and he had his full recording rig on the road with us so we took advantage of the opportunity and recorded the show every night. The quality was amazing so we decided to include this as part of theTen Thousand Ways to Die release to give the fans a little Ob bonus! We selected songs from different cities so you will hear the sound difference between each song. Nothing was done to the songs after the live performance recording so it gives you the real, true, unedited "live show" sound and feeling that the fans experienced at each show."

Das wäre sehr schade, liest sich aber so, als ob es als BT nicht mehr weitergeht, was natürlich nachvollziehbar ist...

Glaub ich derzeit eher nicht. In dem Statement kommt ja rüber das er der einzige Drummer der Band war in 30 Jahren, wer soll ihn da ersetzen ?
Von den Fähigkeiten gibts natürlich genug, dass ist klar.
Auf der anderen Seite schreiben BT ja auch, dass sie sich erst mal einen "Timeout" nehmen, je nachdem wie man das interpretiert. Nach jeder Tour hatten sie ja einen langen Timeout
Hoffe natürlich auch noch auf ein paar Abschiedgigs bzw. eine Abschiedstour, aber letzten endes merkt man an dem Statement auch wieder warum BT eben einfach ne geile Band ist/war. Sehr sehr schade darum

Nach der Wiederveröffentlichung von MERCYFUL FATEs ‘In The Shadows‘ und ‘Time‘ im vergangenen Monat folgt nun der nächste Schwung Re-Releases auf Vinyl.
Ab dem 7. Oktober stellen Metal Blade Records MERCYFUL FATEs Alben ‘Into The Unknown‘, ‘Dead Again‘ und ‘9‘ wieder in die Regale der Plattenläden.
‘Into The Unknown‘ erscheint auf 180 g schwerem schwarzem Vinyl, auf “dawn-red-sky” Farbvinyl (300er Auflage) und in “orange-red marbled” (200er Auflage). ‘Dead Again‘ kommt ebenfalls auf 180 g schwerem schwarzem Vinyl, “blue-black marbled” Vinyl (300er Auflage) und “brown marbled” Vinyl (200er Auflage). Bei ‘9‘ dürft ihr zwischen 180 g schwerem schwarzem Vinyl, “burnt-orange-brown” Vinyl (300er Auflage) und “melting-point-yellow” Vinyl (200er Auflage) wählen.
Die LP sind Teil der Reihe Metal Blade Originals, die wir Anfang des Jahres mit den Neufauflagen der SLAYER-Titel ‘Show No Mercy‘, ‘Hell Awaits‘, ‘Haunting The Chapel‘ und ‘Live Undead‘ losgetreten haben.
‘Into The Unknown‘ und ‘9‘ werden in 400 g schweren Spine-Sleeves mit Inside-out-Druck erscheinen und doppelseitige Artwork-Poster im Format 60x60cm sowie 250g schwere Einleger enthalten.
‘Dead Again‘ wird als Doppel-LP mit 350g schwerem Klappcover (ebenfalls Inside-out-Druck) und wiederum 60x60cm großem, doppelseitig bedrucktem Artwork-Posters in eure Bude flattern.
