Everyone getting excited for Wacken 2014?? I managed Montabello this year. They say we had 200k people, it 'felt' way smaller than Wacken - and it was quieter too :p

Welcome back :)

Stressing just a little bit. I have 3 more days of work, then I get straight into a plane and head over to Europe. First stop will be to see my family, then after that I'm visiting some friends in/near Hannover; all of whom I met in Wacken and one of whom stayed at my place for a bit when he was living here :D

I have a back-up plan, but it would suck having to fall back on it. Apparently the minimum number of days travel with the flexi pass is five days in two months in Germany/Belgium/Netherlands/Luxembourg, and I really only needed four (I know I travel free with you in Belgium, but yeah, it's my back-up if anything doesn't go according to plan). Overall it still worked out cheaper than buying individual tickets on the day and takes a bunch of stress out of travel, especially if you're running late, or the train is over-crowded and won't move until people get off.

Well, the Metal-Train is a charter train, it's sold out so I reckon it won't be overcrowded. And I am pretty much sure the RE-train to Aachen and the IR-train to Liege won't be overcrowded either. The IC to Brussels from Eupen however... ;)

Well i dont i dont believe the numbers wacken gives. But some festivals also count differendly. Like graspop says they have 150k. But they count like this. We had 50k per day, during 3 days... So that makes 150k... Thats not how wacken counts.
