I would bet on the latter, though I have to note that I don't find being "weird" negative. I consider it much closer to a being compliment than being called "normal/average", or, alternatively, "boring". :p

I agree completely. Normal = boring. I don't get along well with normal people. :p

The chicken and the egg...

But... why is it that I alwasy saw many metalheads at FOLKWOODS, a PURE folk festival?

More metal fans are nerds, which extends not only to computers but to history (Vikings/middle ages etc)? Also because we've got folk metal. :D

About to embark on a new diet plan drafted by one of the trainers at the gym. It looks a little bit scary - would someone please figuratively hold my hand for me? :o

Funny part is I didn't start on it today expecting to actually finish it. I just thought I'd do some because I have no idea what to do with all this new-found free time.

What's so scary about it anyway?

It's a diet designed to cut fat and takes into consideration my sedentary occupation. That means cutting the energy from carbohydrates even further. So many eggs/protein shakes :o I know the majority of my problems are my attitude towards food, weekends/parties and general sweet-tooth. I'm the kind of person that goes "ok I've eaten all the healthy food, now I can eat whatever the fuck I want", then combine that with "YAY WEEKEND" come Friday and I'm doomed, leaving me exactly where I started a week ago. Gotta get out of that mindset. It'll be interesting to see how much I manage to cut before I go on holidays, and I guess how much I manage to gain when I purposely "party hard" :D

I wonder how often I can say "no" to cake at work too, that's another killer, cos there's ALWAYS cake/food left over after a meeting.

Oh and tea parties :o I may as well lock myself indoors :ugly:

:D Well it's not you can't have sweets at all. You can have cake. Just not the entire cake. :D
