Think I've wrecked a pair of runners on every euro festival trip. Bought these awesome hiking boots in Koln back in 08 and they've served me great on every trip since even if i did crush a poor woman's foot at Manowarfest that year. Never leaked although my feet feel 10 times lighter when I take them off at the end of the day.

I have winter hiking boots like that - weight about 10 lbs. They are the same boots that the Canadian Military took on maneuvers in one of the harshest areas of the country so they are wicked warm but not for summer. My current hiking boots will be 3 summers old now and they are still good so I am hoping that I don't have to replace them after Wacken.

On a side note..some numpty reverted my scripting files needed to build new computers to an older version and hasn't been implementing the changes made by QA :( Lazy people annoy me! especially when they affect my ability to work!

Actually I did see some washing machines at the festival last year (I think it was around camp B or C?), however I'm not so sure if I saw tumble dryers. I didn't see the point in doing it because it would have taken me more than an hour to walk back there with my dirty clothes, then back to my camp, and all it would have taken was to fall over or drop something and I was doomed.

I bet you could make a decent profit living in the village selling washing/drying services. :D

I think it'd be kinda cool to live in the village in general. Maybe if I get really rich, I'll buy a house there, and visit once a year to sell washer/dryer service, as well as cookies and whatever else I can think to sell. Maybe even rent out rooms. :D

Long after I get tired after the crowds of the actual festival, I can still hang out with metalheads and it'll be like a party. :D

Actually, could maybe turn it into a hotel the other 11 months of the year. Hire someone to run it and tada.

Who knows - it might even turn a profit. :D

I think the visas and all that other crap for running an actual business in a foreign country would be too much - I don't know that they would let you emigrate there either. I wouldn't be able to work at all I know that so I'd have to be independently wealthy though If I was I would probably consider something like that for real!
