Alright, the warning's over. Going to be late to my next class, but it's not my fault I was held hostage.

(on the risk of already being answered)Awesome at least you know you're Wacken readyWe are going to have to rely on the camping service.. Debating if we should get one of those portable loo's For you guys who have been to Wacken..think this is a good idea or will I be ok with the festival toilets?
Get that looked at now! do not wait..and until you do, expect that you have NO breaks. So start stopping well ahead and make sure you have a plan in case it does not work (ie. drive into the ditch) This same thing happened to me once..I wouldn't drive at all if I were you until its fixed.
I've always wanted to try storm chasing too. In the south though, we get rain with our tornadoes, making it even more dangerous since it's harder to see.
You still need your foot to warn the rest you're breaking, and your hand brake? Doesn't that help you in the end?
And way more slippery too!
The hand brake I dunno, because I wasn't thinking about that. But warning someone you're breaking doesn't help any when you're about to hit a stopped car at a light.![]()
Speaking of which, the road was a bit wet - it'd been raining since the morning and probably earlier than that. Any chance that's what caused the issue with my brakes? I didn't think so since I wasn't turning, but then again I know little about cars.

I have one of those toilets as well, and I did take it to Wacken the last time I went (car, driver etc.) and it was handy I had one, 'cause especially in the morning, you have a toilet really close by. But you still need the (dixi) toilets anyways, if only to put the litter in from the chemical toilet. (with the cleaning stuff and your feces etc. it tends to be heavy)
If your tent is big enough, then I don't see a problem. You don't really smell it, but you need a product for the litter tank.

We will have a 4 man tent so it has an extra side that we will use for storing our things. I think it's a good idea to have it there even if it is just to use at night so I can avoid having to leave my tent and go looking for a loo in the dark.
That's what we used it for too.
Last year, we bought an extra (very small) tent for it, so we just had to get out of our own (4p. tent, but complete) but it was right next to our own.
This was not in Wacken though, but another festival. If I'm going alone, I don't use it, it's not easy to bring that thing with you on the train, not to say you can't do that. (no stuff that can hinder others by (...) their smell...)
Well in this case they have them for rental at Wacken so I can pick it up there and return it also. No need to bring it anywhere. Honestly I will not be bringing much on the train. We have our backpacks and I will need to shop for food that we can eat cold while we're there so hopefully I can find a grocery store in Stuttgart. Everything else for camping we will be renting. I asked my boyfriend about the portable BBQ's but he refuses to get them so we'll be having cold food.
It's possible your breaks slipped, but not too likely. Normally if you can get your foot to the floor it's not a good thing. Also could be a bubble in the break lines which someone will have to bleed out or low brake fluid which has to be topped up.
Also, the hand brake is not normally meant to be used as the sole method for stopping a car - it does not have enough power for that. They are more for a little extra grip when you are already stopped or to add a teeny bit extra in an emergency but they are meant to be used in conjunction with your normal brakes.
