Coming to think of it, yeah it is! At least when you look at the so called "german shipbuilding crisis", when a lot of shipyards had to be sold or closed down and lots of jobs were lost.

In terms of money, we're currently covering more than 60% of orders of all of the german shipyards.

Ah well, it gets pretty annoying at the moment, because there are some complete retards who I'm forced to work together with. Okay, I get paid for everything I do, but it gets pretty awkward when you have to do some things not twice, but three times or more. Changes, changes. Ah, what the hell.

Normally here (EU) you do, either by time (1h = 1h extra free time to take) or by €€€€. Depends on the agreement between branch and workers' commitees. (or employer/employee)

Hahaaaaa, lots of companies try to move around workers' or branches' agreements. I know a lot of people who do qualified work but don't get overtime money nor extra leave.
Luckily I'm a union member and Meyer Werft falls under the steelwork union agreement, which means I get paid.
