But you're used to them.

I can imagine someone from overseas, who's not used to them at all, will think they're pavements (podestrian zone/trottoirs). And won't watch out for bikes.
I already see big differences between e.g. Charleroi (or all of Wallonia for that matters) and Best.

I remember that place! It's a DEATH TRAP!! Between the trams , the bikes and the people omfg it was crazy! I've never seen so many people walking around on the streets as in Amsterdam.

Ooooh! Yeah most people in Holland bike from what I saw when I was there. Those bike lanes are dangerous! but I really wish we would do stuff like that in our cities. There are very few places to bike safely and if you want to go on the road with the cars you are risking life and limb to do it.

I used to have a car... a really nice one. VW Golf 1 convertible from 1987. Loved that car. But had to sell it when I broke up with my ex.
Want a cheap car and that's cheap on gas aswell. Just for when it's pissing down.

yeah it does suck, fortunatly for me it's a just a few minutes by bike to work.

20 April is MY birthday so maybe I can convince someone that it would be a good birthday present! I will say honestly though that it would probably be too annoying unless I was going to meet a bunch of people. Crowds are bad and make me nervous.
