I can and will forgive you for that  It does however baffles me how many English-only speakers fuck shit up that they were taught at about age 7-10. I could sit here and give all the examples but I'd only be adding to my rage :uff:

Thanks for pointing it out to me. I always try to write down a grammatical correct sentence without to much influence of the slang I learned. This was just stupid of me for not reading it back before I posted it.
But I know what you mean. The crap I sometimes read of English natives, can completly take me by suprise and make me wonder what they did in school. :(

That's not new. Everyone does that in his own language.

Passing notes in class instead of learning? I don't know either.
While we're on the subject I specifically remember we only spent one whole lesson ever on the difference between 'whom' and 'who'. My father kept correcting us when we were growing up but I still didn't really understand it. We also only spent one lesson learning that there was a second verse to the Australian anthem and how it went. What they omitted from said lesson was that there are a further four verses (which are painfully politically incorrect/backwards/racist) that no-one will sing...ever. I don't think I ever had a class explaining the semicolon...I had to learn that one myself in my current job. I think I've almost got the hang of it. :ugly:

And French is even worse. Singular and plural are pronounced the same.

Hence why I hated French class so much. My teacher was lovely, I (somehow) got good grades, but the subject itself did my head in. I've pretty much regretted picking French over German since my first French class. I can't really blame anyone; I was only 10 or 11 when I was asked to choose.
