No problem. :D

I didn't like Bloodstock all that much unfortunately. Organization was good, the bands were good, size of the fest was good, but the atmosphere? Not very welcoming.

Bloodstock
Pros:
-12000 capacity
-1 main stage with all the big bands
-Set up of camping area, markets and stages very easily accessed
-As with other festivals it's easy to make friends
-"Loners and N00bs" camp
-Gluten-free, vegetarian, healthy and varied food available at the stall called Deli Kate's. Also sells iced coffee.
-Excellent toilet facilities that includes a flush handle thingy, almost always has toilet paper, even more often has plenty of hand sanitiser
-Offers a complementary counselling service for those who feel like they need to talk to someone about their troubles (something I haven't seen at any other festival)
-Good variety of food and goods
-24 hour food vans in camping grounds for when you wake up starving at 4:30am
-Easily accessed by public transport
-Cartons of cold beer on sale at the camp site
-Meet & Greet

Cons:
-Expensive food and drink...bring as much of each as you can physically carry
-Avoid the hamburgers and hotdogs at all costs. This used to be easily spotted with all stalls with "Gourmet" in the title but there were a lot of complaints. Instead of removing them from the festival, they simply removed the "Gourmet" label. Honestly not all Gourmet stalls were bad...just those two.
-Tendency to attract some real cunts
-Also attracts gangs of (cunning) thieves
-Very long line for showers from very early in the morning. I wouldn't even bother.
Thanks! :)

I'll pass the message. We'll see where it leads us to... :)
Most Germans yes. I have a German friend who doesn't drink at all, so no use asking him :p Careo was fairly correct in saying that after drinking Bavarian beer, all other beers will seem inferior :D
I disagree. But then you shouldn't drink "well known" beers compared to Bavarian beers. But give me a northern beer, and I'm happy.
Definitely time I packed up and went to bed. Good night everyone.

God natt! :)

The only 'beer' we ever tried was in Berlin during this festival thing that was happening on the main platz. We saw a booth and so bought a bottle, only to be told by someone later that it was 'girl's beer' so mean.. my poor boyfriend was really embarrassed.

*thinks of LooseCannon in Wacken*

We are 2008. We've finally arrived in Wacken on the TUESDAY before, and the supermarket is stil open.

I decided to buy me a beer, so I went. LC did the same, came back, and opened it. Tasted it, and he was like  EEK!

Reading the etiket I could understand. He bought alcohol free beer. :D:D:D

I agree. Sucks.
And this recruiting company just told me that they could find me a job in Finland easily but I don't want to have a job here. I want a job in Germany. *sigh*
Well, it didn't go that far that they advised me to go back to NL (or Flanders) yet. Which I'll refuse anyways. I'm here, so I'm looking here.

But as an old man, with a handicap, chances are 99.% I won't find anything. (Ford Genk closed: 10,000 jobs lost. Arcelor Mittal Liège, hot line closes: 2,000 jobs lost. The steel industry in La Louvière: 4,000 jobs lost etc. etc. etc. etc.)
Edit Piaf zegt: Old as in employment market. I'm still young.

Congratulations!!! :) I'm happy for you!
