OK...that are decent reasons...gut normaly peopel often say"i'm to old" when they mean "i mm Not couragous enough"

Oh! Nah I am crazy enough to do it but I would have difficulty with work. I will be getting my piercings put back in though! They are less difficult because most people accept them now as long as they are not too odd. Nose and navel are quite 'safe'.

Yes I totally agree. Unfortunately the way our elections work the person who is running the country didn't even have 50% of the votes. There is so much voter apathy here that I have given up hope that we will ever have anyone 'decent' in power.

Are you kidding me? Working in government here means (depending on the job) a man could come to work in a dress if he wanted to. There are dress standards in each field of work, but long hair, tattoos, face piercings, pink hair, festival wrist bands - all fine unless it impacts on the work itself.

I wish.. It is so bad here that my boyfriend feared being hired because of the length of his hair - I am so glad he managed to find a great job anyway but so many people are too interested in how you look to find out what you can really do

My new smartphone finally has a release date, the 18th Though I'm going to wait a few weeks after that (very impatiently) to make sure there aren't any major bugs etc.

Always a good idea! I will not be an early adopter of anything just for this reason. Too many bugs all the time - especially with phones and operating systems!

I wish.. It is so bad here that my boyfriend feared being hired because of the length of his hair - I am so glad he managed to find a great job anyway but so many people are too interested in how you look to find out what you can really do

Happy weekend to you too That attitude seems to be a tad more rife in the private sector. State government here is too interested in who knows the answers to the panel questions on interview day rather than who has demonstrated skills and good work ethics (though if some managers were allowed to do that, they'd go for the latter).

This is one reason why I like doing phone interviews - you can't be pre-judged based on your looks. I have gotten some awesome jobs that way.

I was lucky enough with this job that I had the opportunity to demonstrate that I was the best for the job on interview day. Even my boss said (not in these words though) that my face-to-face interview was kind of shitty

My interviews are usually OK but my problem is that I am TOO happy - I can't help myself that is just how I am when I am talking about things that excite me - like working I've been told a few times that people find me just too nice and think I'm hiding stuff - when really I am not and I'm just a happy person - kinda sucks.

I wish they'd do the same here, nonetheless I cannot hide my bad eyesight, as it will have an effect on how I work.
