I went from blackberrie (CRAP!!!) to android. Great phone for the first 3 months. Then it started crashing and batterydraining. Got it replaced, 2 months later same shit. I don't do much on my phone besides checking facebook and twitter. So talking to alot of people I decided to go for the Iphone. Never crashed and battery last 3 times longer!!!
True. I do dislike the cockyness Apple is showing. I prefer open source me self aswell. But for a mobile phone I like the Iphone for its stability and battery lasting time. I still got a normal pc and laptop and the only other item from apple is the ipod (biggest storage at the time).
About the breaking tho... I'm kinda clumsy at times so i've dropped my phone a couple of times... including tarmac. Still in perfect condition. After the first drop I did by a casing (2 euro) for it...
Seriously even my windows mobile phone did not crash.

I'd be lying if I said the iPhone isn't a great phone (and that Apple isn't a quality company). I just can't stand the popularity of anything Apple, and how their fans are so devoted to their products it's practically a cult. That combined with being locked into Apple's OS, Apple's products, Apple-approved apps etc... open-source Android is much more my style. Plus the iPhones are known for being easy to break (drop it once on a hard surface, you're probably screwed) so you pretty much need a durable case to make it worth having.
