No but usually can't avoid it when you have a job. I don't and it's quite annoying to try to find one actually. :o

So...you're in need of a job?

P.S. Don't come asking me for one. We can't even ask to ordering a $0.50 pen without having our finance managers asking us why and/or declining the order. Now imagine how I feel trying to ask for several pieces of equipment retailing at several hundred dollars a piece.

Which reminds me...the state election is coming up this weekend. I've never been so motivated to vote (it's compulsary here). The clowns running the state have had more than enough time in office. Working in government has given me much better insight into how much they've fucked up (well, in my department anyway).

Just like in Belgium. You have to vote.

We got municipal elections in October. And I can vote, don't have to, as I'm not Belgian. :)

Yes. I need a job and it's not so easy atm. I would actually go somewhere else to work, anywhere really, if my kids were bit older. I'll just keep trying here and after maybe 2 years I might leave this cold and dark place anyway :)

How does that work?
It's quite simple.

In order to vote in Belgium (like in Australia, I reckon) you have to be Belgian. Except... the municipal elections, they must be open for all EU citizens.

But... in order to be able to vote "abroard", you must register yourself as a voter. Once registered, you have to vote (compulsory), but you're free to unregister at any time.

And I'm Dutch = part of EU. Belgium = part of EU, so the circle is round. :)
How about some finnish and english and few words of german and lot of patience :p

Doesn't work. Sorry. :o

Hmm here voting is voluntary. How can you force people to vote

We tried and if it doesn't work I just have to keep trying here then :)
