Well you know...use the easiest bits from each language and cut a few rules down to size I think an important contribution to this language would be to have one official word for every meaning and one way of pronouncing each (spelt) word!

Therefore, no:

pair, pear, pare
weather, whether
there, their, they're
poor, pour, pore
by, buy, bye
