I don't hate old things. I just don't like watches. Don't know why you need to strap a funny looking wristband/bracelit/thing to your wrist to tell the time when you have a phone in your pocket.

But what happens when your phone battery is empty? How do you know when your train is riding, and if you're in time to catch it?

Oh, I forgot, in the US no one takes a train.

You clearly don't know my family very well, luckily there's clocks around me, but they don't allow electronics out because then the boys take their ipods out and start listening to the music and use me checking the time as an excuse to do so. -.-

Yep - from watching AP at festivals.

Nope.

And I always keep my phone charged so it's not in danger of dying when I'm out. Not like it's always on the charger, I just make sure it's charged enough for what I'm going to do. Like making sure I have enough fuel in the car before I go somewhere.

Traveling a lot also makes a watch pretty necessary. I spent 3-4 days without any ability to check the time.

True. But... if I were to live in the US, I couldn't drive either. (same circonstances)

At least our public transport is better organised, so people are more free to move, even if it is sometimes f*&ðing expensive. (especially when you want to take a train spontaniously in Germany/France)

I got a laptop - not that any of you don't know already since you have my FB.

Most everything else was fairly lame (got some running shoes and a bit of cash though). I wasn't expecting the laptop though - my dad knew I was saving up for a really good one, since I needed one, and I guess he took it upon himself to get one to replace the old one.

Some people actually think that watches look nice. Also it can be really useful for when you can't use your cell. Like when we write tests we're not allowed to have a cell around. I have a watch that I can clip to my belt though. It's pretty nice because you can make a standing up table watch out of it and it looks pretty elegant
