Last night was mighty cool 
People had travelled from as far away as Sydney, Maryborough and even New Zealand to be there so it was really lovely to catch up with all the cool kids

As per the usual it was ridiculously hot in the theatre, even hotter in the foyer but thankfully a little more pleasant outside. The line to get in never seemed to get any shorter...ever!

The police presence was kind of funny. It was pretty much a case of "better watch out; one of these large black shirted people might start a biff" then when that wasn't ever apparent, it became "keep an eye out; one of these large black shirted people might drop a cigarette on the ground...$200 commission - I mean $200 fine mate".

A large black metal fan kept me sane in the back corner during the show. I decided to skip seeing Spire because someone said they were a doom band. I saw Stargazer and they were really good.

But this time I finally got to see Portal right to the end. I actually enjoyed it this time. The costume theme was pretty cool too 
It was a double sided face mask (i.e. a face on the front and a face on the back), the front face was covered in a semi-see-through drape type thing, and these creepy long fingernails. He sang facing backwards to the audience for the first song (so that the uncovered face was towards us) and turned around for the rest.
