What does that mean?

Houdoe = Tschüss but in the Brabant dialect. And I do not know this explanation here below, it's a typical Sweat Lake (Zouterminder) answer I guess.

It's a rather fat bird that can't really fly, but kinda hops around. It lives in Dutch sewers.

Melbourne Cup Day "the race that stops the nation". Melbourne gets a public holiday and everyone else in Australia either has a sicky to have a fancy lunch in a fancy dress and fancy hat a restaurant with a TV or the pub, or they go to school or work and wear silly hats, have a communal lunch, put money in a sweep (it's provided in the weekend newspaper) and watch the race when it comes on.

Plus we don't eat horses here; they are sent to the glue factory when their time is up

2) 4. Dutch, French (forced now, I live in French speaking Belgium), German and English. And if Brabants were a language, I'd be fluent in it as well.
