what's the problem with being permanent?

At lunch time I look after reception down stairs for an hour or two. I'm waiting for the day when someone starts talking at me like I know what they're on about and I'm left wondering if it's me they want or not. As it is we already have two Jenny's in the building (both reception too), at one point we had two Karen's and there's also an Alice which confuses some people on occasion.

It's also a really little team so you can imagine the confusion it can cause in the office / staff room with two people having names that are pronounced the same. We'll have to come up with some sort of plan. I really don't want us to be referred to as "Alix with an I" and "Alex with an E".
