Well, I've seen it in the US where there is OFFICIALLY no language, but most is written except when it concerns money. Then it's bilingual.
You'll see here nothing is bilingual (except in Brussels)

Things here work in many languages. Somehow, through riding on the train I've mastered the ability to read "This seat is reserved for elderly and disabled" in Chinese, Spanish, and some other language I haven't been able to identify.
Also, a lot in my area have everything in Spanish because there's a lot of Spanish-speaking immigrants. Though it is annoying seeing they try to make me speak Spanish. I've even seen signs that aren't in English at all![]()
The best example was:
I arrived at the Canadian/US border. (with my wofe)
We showed our passports and got a questionnairy, and mine was in Dutch, as well as my card I recieved.
I can understand that, but I mean, ballots here were translated in Chinese and John McCain was apparently translated to "Mindless Barbarian" or something >.<
