I remember once during band practice at my house, my siblings were playing the game while we were setting up or something... and our guitarist decided he wanted to play one of the songs on it because he could play it on real guitar... and he failed horribly

:| Damn, that's kind of sad. I find it kind of funny when the song on hard is more difficult than playing the song on real guitar.

Yea. People do take it overboard and such. Sadly, a lot of decent bands are likely to end up added to the next version. We all know what happens to the popularity of that band if they get on guitar hero. *looks at Dragonforce*

I know right... Dream Theater were on Rock Band, and apparently CoB are going to be on the newest Guitar Hero... it sucks, I don't want a bunch of kids knowing those bands...
I'm proud to say I liked Dragonforce way before they were on Guitar Hero

nah just depends on the person I think... some people just suck at guitar, others suck at pushing buttons...
fortunately I guess I'm neither... can play a really crappy version of Star Spangled Banner on guitar, and can also pass most of the expert level songs on Guitar Hero

I've never liked Dragonforce. I knew about them long before Guitar Hero. I disliked the fact Turisas opened for them too. Now there's a ton of the guitar hero kids drooling over Turisas as well.

I kind of wish they'd try to leave some scenes alone. But it also has something to do with the band themselves and their record label. They wouldn't ever do it if neither agreed to it.

I'm somewhat decent at guitar. No where near to the point I should be after eight years of playing though. It's not like I lack skill to do it, it's lack of discipline. I can't stick to a routine long enough to get good.

It ended up getting ridiculous. My sister ended up going to that show and decided she didn't really want to go to shows anymore because the kids ended up beating her up outside the pit for some reason.

I don't see how Turisas fits with them anymore than Eluveitie fit with Katakylsm.

lol I know right... though that's a bit of an exaggeration I'd say... at least Dragonforce and Turisas are both pretty melodic... as compared to death and such anyway

They're melodic sure, but it's kind of a clash of fan bases. Eluveitie and Katakylsm aren't much a like, but the fan bases don't clash with each other in a negitive manner.
