yea... but you never know, maybe they need to charge that much money to cover the whole tour or equipment or something... just saying.

Well I think it has a lot to do with the promoters and venues, they jack up the price for big name bands because they want to make as much money as they can, and they feel that the fans will pay it, so why not?

My wife likes Journey, not Metal I know, and they are playing here this month so I said I'd take her, but when we saw the ticket prices, $75.00 we said fuck that!

And even in this bad economy, many people will still pay crazy prices, Journey sold out 3 nights here in a larger indoor arena, each sold out within 2 hours of tickets going on sale. So they don't care if my wife and I go or not, someone else will.

I agree, Wacken is 150 Euro for 60-70 bands, that is very fair. 75 dollars for one, that's just a rip-off

i would if the price was fair. but after seeing the billing bord for metallica + slipknot + lamb of god + mastodon, and pay 50€ for one good band... well... optimus alive org ca go fuck off themselfs.

Well Metallica has done many things they said they'd never do, and those things helped make them rich, so I don't believe anything they say. But I still love their older music.
