tell me about it, when i was younger i saw this dentist that fucked up my teeth and gums for the rest of my life. he put metal caps on all my teeth because he said that they needed to be done, and what happened with that was he caused my gums to be sensitive and my teeth to grow in funny. and i get abcesses like crazy now too

I like to sum it up this way: If tomorrow a cure for a disease came out, doctors would embrace it as another way to save people, but if a product was made that meant we would never have to worry about tooth care again, dentists would try and supress it. Poor teeth isn't lethal anymore in the modern world so why should they care? They need to make money. Not cure people. They don't take a hippocratic oath.
Why is it the tooth paste dental hygienists use is completely different from any product on the market? Or all the equipment?
I've met a few people wanting to become doctors and a few wanting to become dentists. I ask them why the chose that route, what do the doctors say? "I want to help people." What did the dentists say? "There's money in there"
Also dentists really screwed me over a few times when I was a kid, so maybe it's personal as well ;)

I'm probably misguided in my view on dentistry, but I've yet to hear or experience otherwise.

Of course, this is an invalid argument. But hey I'm allowed at least one crazy conspiracy. At least it's not the fucking moon landing hoax thing.

yeah, i hear what you are saying. i can tolerate pain, but the pain from a tooth ache sucks so damn bad, it causes migraines and loss of sleep

But I still need to go to one. :(

and another thing i need to do is get the last of my wisdom teeth yanked. my left one is abcessed too
