That's why I put it in '' but what we eat at noon in Germany is usually what for you people is dinner. We have Mittagessen in the noon which is a warm meal and Abendbrot in the evening, which is usually just some bread

Not in my family anymore though since my dad is working until evening any my brother too. But usual for Germany is 'dinner' at noon

Yeah, I see the point now.

Still have a warm meal in the afternoon, and some bread in the evening. But I have to go "outside" to get my warm meal. (Lang leve maaltijdcheques/Long live meal checks!)

it's opposite in the US
dinner's the main meal of the day, and we usually have it between 6-8pm

and btw usually breakfast isn't much of anything [like I personally skip it most days]

but usually it's a lot easier to like get cereal or something rather than cooking pancakes in the morning
...guess we're lazy
