Very well put. Be yourself and like what you like. listening to something just for the image or to be "more brutal" is just fake and what I believe is a poseur. I like a wide range of metal, from some 80s Hair bands to extreme Black and Death Metal, and most in between.

as far as the Metallica thing, well I don't really care, he needs to get over that...
when you're in a band, and you've got someone getting drunk all the time and screwing things up, well why wouldn't you kick him out?
but I like both bands. :]
