I just hate how it's like THE mp3 to have. like, people don't even say mp3 anymore, they just call them all iPods. fight the mainstream!

Well I call mine an ipod because it is an ipod. I prefer them over other brands because they really are the best MP3 players around IMO. I like the large capacity, mine is 80GB (I'd like a 160) and mine has performed flawlessly. plus I've had extremely good luck with Apple products.

I haven't... I had an iPod shuffle several years ago, but after just a couple months it stopped working.
but the main thing is for me, like I said, the fact that it's so popular.
and I like the large capacity as well... that's why I'm looking at Zunes

I've read bad things about Zunes, but I have not had any experience with one. Wasn't your shuffle under warranty? Seems you could have had it replaced. Plus shuffles are the bottom of the line model.

I've heard mostly good mixed with a little bad. so I guess I'm just hoping for the good one, lol
