Well Oahu is very populated. there's many towns and several cities on Oahu, the other Hawaiian Islands are much less populated.

we go in the water all the time here. No crocs, occasional sharks, but not a real problem. Not many rays or jellyfish.

from what I've read Wacken sounds great! I hope to go next year. Really wanted to see Iron Maiden.
