I sometimes (rarely though) saw subtitled films on WDR. But that's a while ago.

Yeah, I remember there were films for people to learn English... but I'm not sure...

When I was younger I used to watch Danish tv. They showed "Der Bergdoktor" on german with danish subtitles. I thought that was fun
