I guess, with the exception of the accumulation, it's pretty much the same story here. Occasionally I get asked to do work outside of normal hours (eg. weekends), and get paid overtime for it, but that's rare - happened like 3 or 4 times in total.

Quite the keen observation - actually, sometimes I worry that metal might be running out of creative steam. But then bands like Ne Obliviscaris show up and make me feel foolish. Anyone else feel like that?
I guess that makes sense, too. I would do so too, but I might discriminate based on genre, were I to find it out ahead of time. If the band were said to be exceptional, I probably would make an exception, but hey... :P
