How common is it for people to sell tickets at the gate at Wacken on the first day of the festival. If so what are the typical prices for the tickets.

Price is lower than the original, but you risk buying a false, fake ticket! And that chance is real!

I remember that ticket owners could deposit their ticket in the Wackenoffice. They made a contact between ticketowner and prospective buyer.
If the Wackenoffice do the same in 2015, you have no risk to buy a fake.
The price is negotiated between the seller and the buyer.

If so, I'm not sure if they'll do it again. But if they will, it's a great system!

2012 was without personalisation. A friend of mine has sold his ticket this way. But I don't know if it's 2015 possible. Best you can do, is to ask the wackenoffice.
