Cool :) I'll be most likely departing from Bristol. What kinda bands are you aiming to see? I'm looking forwards to Iron Maiden, Steep Panther (saw them Wacken 2014, awesome), Vintage Caravan, Twisted Sister, Unisonic, Devildrive, Lamb of God, and whoever else looks cool!

There is honestly a LOT of bands I am really looking forward to. My top 10 are probably Orphaned Land, 1349, Bury Tomorrow, Marduk, Elvenking, Iron Maiden, Kampfar, Therapy?, Tsjuder and Myrkur.

When was your first Wacken? Mine was 2015, so 2016 will be my second. I was a regular at Bloodstock from 2011-2014 though.

Mine was 2014, didn't make it last year. 2014 was awesome! Loved Slayer, Avantasia and Steel Panther among others, also Vintage Caravan are really good live, saw them again in Bristol afterwards, they're playing this year too. How do you rate Bloodstock in comparison?

Bloodstock just does not compare, its as simple as that really. Bloodstock is much smaller and it is thus easier to socialise and make new friends. But it doesn't have the "party" atmosphere to it that Wacken does. Its also very closed off in the sense that it doesn't have a huge street party down in the nearby village.

Bloodstock gets a 7/10
Wacken gets a 9/10

Also apologies for slow replies, its not often I use these forums.

Ah cool, I really liked the atmosphere at Wacken. Good and friendly and just like a permanent state of fun! Are you seeing any other gigs this year, or saving them up for Wacken? I was thinking of seeing Sabaton, who are playing Bristol and London in March.

How about travel, are you flying into Hamburg? Last time I flew there and cycled to Wacken! Might well get the bus this time :)

Well last year we made the trip with Argon but we are flying this year. Not sure where we are departing England from yet though.

As for gigs, it is quite difficult for me to get to gigs because I live in the arse end of nowhere lol. I think my last gig was Byker Grave 2014! I had planned to see Therapy? In Newcastle this month but I'm now going to Prague with my girlfriend next month so I have to save, plus I can see them at Wacken now haha.
